The heavily chamfered (beveled) edges decrease the visual weight of the butcher block while also allowing it to be picked up easily. Its weight alone insures that the block won't ever move while you're prepping your food, and with the proper care it will easily last a lifetime.

Finished with a mixture of food grade mineral oil, bees wax, and carnauba wax helps resist water and keeps the board looking fresh and healthy.
