This custom island top was made to add bar seating within the kitchen, and the color used was to match the appliances and contrast the cabinets.
Steel C-channel mounted on the underside to help mitigate seasonal wood movement and increase rigidity.
The top side has a 1/8th" round-over, and the bottom is finished with a subtle 22.5º bevel.
